What is a Labyrinth?
Unlike a maze, which offers many paths and choices along the way, a labyrinth is a single path or unicursal tool for personal, psychological and spiritual transformation. Labyrinths are thought to enhance right brain activity.

Our Classical Seven Circuit Labyrinth is located in the far corner of our yard by the stream. You enter a labyrinth through the mouth and then walk on the paths or circuits. The walls keep you on the path. The goal is in the center of the labyrinth. When you reach it, you have gone half the distance – you now need to turn around and walk back out.

Constructed of stones set into the grass, the seven circuit design is one of the oldest on earth, and is found in every major religion and civilization. It has an equal number of left and right hand turns, thus helping restore energy and balance. Each of the 7 circuits relates to one of your 7 chakras, improving the flow of chi throughout the body. Although the path looks simple, it is amazingly complex, a geometrical phenomenon. Tread slow, breath deep, and realize that the walk of the labyrinth is about the journey, not the destination.
